Being in the shade
for almost a decade, after deathsters Necrosis
split-up, Kostas Analytis decided to release what he had in mind for years, the
ABYSSUS debut strike.
Hiring Stefanos
Georgitsopoulos (Heart Attack, ex-Everfailed) on the guitars and along
with ex-Raging Storm & Hannibal Dimitris Delis (who has also
worked with Spitfire, Strikelight, Released Anger, 1550 etc)
behind the board, the ABYSSUS first
release was about to be accomplished.
The self-financed
E.P. "Monarch To The Kingdom Of The Dead" combines old-school death
metal with hardcore elements and Slayer-like
riffing, influenced by legendary death metal bands such as Obituary, Bolt Thrower, Death and others.
After the
"Monarch..." release, ex-Inveracity
& Leprosy Dimitris Samaras (bass)
and Miltos Exakoustidis (drums) joined the band and working together on new
material.
